Attorney Jim Reeves says Special Judge Hilburn’s ruling on SRHS failed pension plan will “Fast Track” the legal process

Attorney Jim Reeves, with the law firm of Reeves & Mestayer, who is lead counsel in federal litigation involving the failed Singing River Pension Plan, supports Special Judge Hilburn’s decision stating:

“Judge Hilburn’s decision fast tracks the legal process, settling years of litigation about whether SRHS actually owes the unpaid contributions to its retirement pension fund. The answer is yes, SRHS by law, owes this debt and it must be paid. The only question now is the amount of debt owed. The ruling today was a huge step forward in answering this question and resolving the pension crisis much quicker.”

Reeves was appointed as lead counsel for all the Federal lawsuits filed against Singing River Health System, and their collection of partners, by U. S. District Judge Louis Guirola, Jr. on June 5, 2015.

The law firm of Reeves & Mestayer was the first firm to file a federal multi-count class action lawsuit against Singing River Health System, Board of Trustees, TransAmerica Retirement, KPMG, Chris Anderson, and 13 others.
