I was born and raised in Pascola. It is a blue collar, hard-working town. My father was a lawyer and I have siblings who are lawyers, and although we had a family of lawyers, we certainly understood the value of hard work.
I was roofing houses when I was 13 years old, so what I learned at that time about hard work I brought to my law practice.
We see a lot of lawyers on TV in Biloxi, but they don’t live here. We’re on TV here in Biloxi, and we live here in Biloxi. We don’t treat clients like numbers, we treat them like friends and family. As a result, we work very hard for their cases.
We live here, we expect to see our clients, and we do see them: at restaurants; at the ball games, and when you do that, you’re held accountable.
The lawyers who live in other parts, t makes a little easier for them not to treat clients like family because they won’t see each other again, but we represent friends, family, and neighbors. We’re a part of the community.
Jim and I can practice anywhere we wanted to, but we’re here because we love it here. I think the people of South Mississippi are some of the greatest in the world. They’re kind, they’re generous. They’re just good people. And that’s why we stay here. We’re going to do everything we can to make sure they have a good result.
